Student Food Pantry
The Student Food Pantry is located in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union (NN213-2A) and is available to students facing food insecurity.
Hours of operation
The Student Food Pantry is open Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (not including UMMC observed holidays).
Give to the pantry
The Office of Student Affairs manages the Student Food Pantry and welcomes the gifting of non-perishable items to stock the pantry. Non-perishable food items include:
- canned goods (e.g., fruits, meats, sauces, soups, vegetables),
- cereal (boxes or single-serve),
- crackers, pasta and rice,
- dry beans and lentils,
- granola bars and instant oatmeals,
- peanut butter and jellies and
- shelf-stable milks.
The Student Food Pantry also includes personal care items, including, but not limited to:
- body wash,
- deodorant,
- feminine products,
- laundry detergents (liquids, pods and powders)
- shampoo/conditioner and
- toothbrushes and toothpastes.
